Tony Cooper
DEPTH PERCEPTION is a site-specific installation built for the MUDROOM. Using steel, copper, wood and stone, Tony Cooper responds to the cavernous qualities of the space, playing with the realm of potential understandings of spatiotemporal setting.
A large sculpture of woven steel crane cable is suspended at the entrance, filtering our view to a built in frame that recapitulates the shape of the room. These works stand in relation to a series of on-site landscape paintings that continually asses their surroundings.
