City of Peterborough Municipal Cultural Plan Draft Review Forum

On Wednesday, October 19th from 4 - 7pm at the Mark Street United Church in the Social Hall, the Project Team in charge of developing the Municipal Cultural Plan will publicly present a draft. Members of the community will have an opportunity to comment on the draft before the report is finalized and presented to City Council later in the year.

Many of you have been involved in this process, either at the visioning forum last september, an open house or the recent cultural mapping initiative. This is perhaps your last chance to influence the plan before it is presented. Information on the Draft Review Forum hasn't been widely shared, though the event is public and all community members are welcome.

The Municipal Cultural Plan (MCP) will develop a vision for Peterborough, highlighting economic prosperity, social progress, and quality of life. It will focus on culture’s role in creating a livable, sustainable community with a vibrant downtown and healthy neighbourhoods. Through extensive community engagement, the Plan aims to generate a shared cultural vision in Peterborough and provide a set of guiding principles and actions that ensures Peterborough reaches its greatest potential as a culturally vibrant, creative city.
